" The Antica Trattoria
da Bepi"
“An ongoing tradition…..
There have always been polenta, salami, tripe, and tagliatelle
in broth at Bepi’s.
The cuisine has been the same since time immemorial.
It all started when Bepi realised that there was nowhere
to eat out in the hills and, particularly, in the village.
So he and his family decided to open “The
tavern” which,
in a few years, also became a public
phone booth ….
With unremitting effort, plus the dedication that made
all the difference in those days, Aldo and Atilio managed
to keep the tavern going.
During that period Aldo married Rita who, as well as producing
four little boys, gave a hand in the kitchen.

Rita turned out to be an excellent cook, a fact that still
seems to make all the difference ……
In the 1990s, the eldest son, named "Giuseppe Lonardi" after
his grandfather, renovated the place and, with his wife
Marilena and Nonna Rita in the kitchen, the food became
an enormous success, with the addition of classic dishes
like "tripe and tagliatelle" as well as the famous "risotto
all’amarone”, which is still today one of their most successful
recipes.
Now “L’Osteria da Bepi” has become “L'Antica Trattoria
da Bepi” and is run with devotion and courtesy by Camilla
and Vittorio.
Their aim is to keep the traditions as alive as they can,
bearing always in mind the knowledge Nonna Rita has handed
down to them.
